Sleepover!!

We just had our year warranty walk through on our house with the builder a few weeks ago and we had a couple little 'blemishes' on our wood floor that I wanted fixed. So last Friday we had our floor sanded down and refinished. The smell was really bad from it so they recommended that we go stay somewhere else for the night. We were nervous about staying with someone with Dylan in case he didn't sleep. He does fine at home in his crib, but you never know how he is going to do somewhere else. So we decided to call our good friends Jeff & Jessica. We figured they are like family to us and they would understand if Dylan happened to cry all night! They were nice enough to let us come and stay at their house for the night. We had fun spending time with them - since we moved we don't see them as often as we would like. Friday was their youngest son's 2nd birthday, so Jessica made us a yummy BBQ dinner along with cake and ice cream. Paul and Jeff of course had fun playing rough with the kids - it always seems to involve trying to hit each other with balls or pillows or anything else you can throw. (Jessica and I try to stay out of their way.) We had a great time together, and now our floors look like new again. We really appreciate having good friends that we can depend on when we need a favor. Thanks to Jeff, Jessica, and their kids for letting us come and sleepover!! (I forgot my camera so sadly no pictures. . .maybe next time)

Hey Kat,...where is it in Colorado that you live? What would you think if we came to visit you?

We had to stay in a hotel when we had our floors done 2 years ago. It was tough with all the kids, so some friends of ours asked us to stay with them. It was fun, but William was 9 months old at the time and not a good sleeper. He cried most of the time we were there, but they didn't seem to mind. They had a baby the same age and he kept them up, so we were all pretty busy during the night.

Glad to hear you guys had a good time. There's nothing like having good friends to lend support when you need it.

Hey that is a great idea... you should have house work done more often and get some yummy food from friends! Good friends really are the best!
